A road, a business premises and a shared compound have different lighting needs. Define what the area is used for before choosing by a wattage label alone.
Identify the route, entrances and stopping points that need lighting. Note possible mounting locations and anything that may obstruct the panel. Pole height and spacing need site-specific confirmation.
Describe how the space is used after dark—from arriving vehicles to people moving between buildings. For commercial or industrial premises, establish the lighting task rather than assuming a single model is suitable for the whole site.
Consider paths, entrances and areas where people gather, including shared waiting areas. Check nearby buildings, trees and other obstructions when assessing panel exposure and the proposed mounting arrangement.
These are starting points for assessing a site—not a promise that one light suits every application.
