READING THE FIGURES

Understanding the specifications

Solar panel wattage

The panel rating describes its rated electrical output under test conditions. D1 has a 160W mono panel; D2 has a 150W mono panel. The 150W in each model name is a separate designation, not a substitute for the panel specification.

Battery capacity in Wh

Watt-hours describe stored energy. D1 states 788Wh and D2 states 192Wh. Capacity alone does not establish how long a light will run: its operating settings and the energy available after charging also matter.

Light output in lumens

Luminous flux describes the amount of visible light emitted. Both models state 15,000 lm. This figure alone does not tell you how evenly a road, yard or parking area will be lit.

Colour temperature in Kelvin

Colour temperature describes the appearance of white light. D1 is specified at 6500K and D2 at 8000K. The higher figure indicates a cooler-looking white, not greater brightness.

IP65 protection

IP65 describes protection against dust ingress and water jets. It is not an immersion rating or a promise of protection in every wet environment. Confirm that the installation conditions match the product instructions.

Installation height

The recommended mounting height is 6–8 m for both models. Pole spacing, bracket compatibility and the area to be illuminated still need site-specific consideration.

YOUR PROJECT

Choosing between D1 and D2

For an installation in Nigeria, start with the location and what needs lighting. A higher panel or battery figure does not, on its own, establish that a model is right for the site.

Plan the installation

Useful details to bring to the conversation

  • Where the lights will be installed and what the area is used for after dark.
  • The proposed mounting arrangement, including any existing poles or fixing points, or whether you need new poles supplied.
  • Available sun exposure, including nearby buildings or trees that may shade the panel.
  • Your lighting requirements and the number of units being considered.

Compare the documented panel and battery capacities alongside these details. Further site information may be needed before selecting a configuration.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

Warranty and purchase details

Both models have a stated 36-month warranty, excluding artificial damage.

Confirm the applicable warranty terms before purchasing. The duration and exclusion alone do not explain every coverage condition or how a claim would be handled.

QUESTIONS BEFORE BUYING

A closer look at the details

What is the difference between D1-150W and D2-150W?

D1 has a 160W mono panel, a 788Wh battery and a 6500K colour temperature. D2 has a 150W mono panel, a 192Wh battery and an 8000K colour temperature. Both state 15,000 lm, IP65 protection and a recommended installation height of 6–8 m.

Does the 150W model name refer to solar panel wattage?

Use the separate panel specification when comparing them: D1 has a 160W panel and D2 has a 150W panel. The model name should not be treated as a measurement of LED power consumption.

What does the battery capacity in Wh mean?

Wh means watt-hours, a measure of stored energy. Compare the documented 788Wh and 192Wh capacities alongside the operating settings and charging conditions, rather than using capacity alone to predict runtime.

How long will the light operate at night?

A reliable answer needs the operating schedule and charging conditions for the model and site. Battery capacity alone cannot guarantee a nightly runtime. Ask us to confirm the applicable product information before you choose.

How long does charging take?

Charging depends on sunlight and panel exposure. Shading and site conditions can affect the energy available. Confirm the model’s documented charging conditions rather than assuming a fixed time for every installation.

What installation height is recommended?

Both models list 6–8 m. Confirm the mounting arrangement, pole and lighting requirements for your location before installation.

Does IP65 mean the light is waterproof?

IP65 covers dust ingress and water jets; it does not mean the light can be submerged. Follow the installation instructions and check suitability for the intended environment.

What does the 36-month warranty cover?

The stated warranty is 36 months, excluding artificial damage. Further coverage details and the applicable terms should be confirmed before purchasing.

Can I order multiple units for a project?

Wholesale enquiries are welcome. Share your intended quantity, project location and planned use so we can discuss the configurations and your requirements.
